Synopsis

Madhu Mangal Rane, a Wedding Detective in Bombay, is a middle-aged single man whose profession is to chase down prospective grooms and expose their vices to the girl’s families. While undertaking one such task for a client, he breaks off an alliance of an innocent young bachelor named Suraj Singh Dhillon. Madhu misunderstands Suraj as a drunken and ill-mannered guy and ruins Suraj’s reputation as a potential groom in the society. Suraj starts chasing Madhu to seek revenge and in the process, falls in love with Madhu’s sister Tulsi. She’s a pretty, smart and cultured girl hiding secrets of her own. To avenge Madhu, Suraj exposes Tulsi’s secret and hurts her. When Madhu realizes this, he is enraged but instead of going after Suraj, he does something unpredictable. Set in 1995, the story continues to be a hilarious cat and mouse chase between Madhu Mangal Rane & Suraj Singh Dhillon with both trying various antics to win. So, the question is whether Suraj will get the love of his life or will Mangal create a rift between them?
